Event Recap: July 7th & 8th in NYC!

July 7th & 8th Full Recap

Last week, we held our first in-person event in New York City. 

Day 1 of the conference was at KKR's global headquarters.

The day started with a fireside chat by Vance Serchuk, Managing Director of the KKR Global Institute, who discussed how the transition from an era of globalization to a new era of great power struggle has impacted KKR's investment decision process. Pricing in geopolitical risk is challenging, but a critical component of making sound investment decisions.

On Day 1, we also heard from - 

1. An investment banking panel featuring Ari SchiffAJ Rooney, and Joe Kistler

2. A consulting panel featuring Wes GoingStephanie Noyes, and Joseph Turck.

3. A Vets in Big Tech panel featuring Billy Knapp and Ash Rajaram

4. A startup panel featuring Sonny TaiDave ChoClark Yuan, and Joe Lynch.

On Day 2, we moved over to JP Morgan Chase's global headquarters. 

We heard from the JP Morgan team about their military veteran hiring initiatives. JP Morgan Chase has been a tremendous advocate of military veteran hiring - you can read more about their work hiring military veterans here

On Day 2, we also heard from - 

5. An alternative investments panel featuring Sherman Williams II, Tom Allison, George Dutile, and Chris Morales

6. The JP Morgan Chase Military Veterans Affairs Team, including Mark Elliott and Latoya Roberts

7. A General Management panel featuring Isaiah Berg, Argyle Nelson, and Tony McCann. 

8. A non-profit panel featuring Jesse Gould, Phil Caruso, and JD Due.   

9. Recent B school grads - Marie Jimenez, William Wang, and Isaac Olsen

10. Leann Darland, founder of Talea Beer Company.
